I recently upgraded to Yosemite, and so far everything works fine. However I have noticed that there are buttons that have incorrect graphics on them. The biggest one i've noticed happens on a lot of programs such as Safari, and even the system preferences window.

The back/forward icons in the upper left. instead of a left and right arrow as expected for the icons. The back button has the forward icon on it, and the forward button has a lock icon on it. Another instance of this would be the sidebar button in safari. instead of the standard sidebar icon, its showing the refresh icon.

The buttons work as they should, its just the icons that are incorrect. Has anyone ever seen this issue before, and know what I can do to fix it?

Just an update to this. After reading multiple other posts on other sites I have tried clearing the cache folders in the main library folder, and my user accounts library folder and rebooting and that has not helped.

I also went into disk utility and repaired permissions and rebooted in case that would fix it. Still no go.

Does anyone have any other thoughts as to how to fix this?

Create a new user, reboot and see if it happens when you login to the new user.
