Missing 3G Icons but have Full Bars

Hello, just this morning i was on the App Store on my iPhone and all of a sudden my 3G icon disappeared and i wasnt able to download data anymore, if i switch to edge the icon is there and if i reboot my iphone my 3G icon stays there for a few seconds then disappears Any suggestions?

Missign 3G signal bars

I have almost the same problem. I show the AT&T and 3g icons, but the signal strenght bar is now a number (e.g. -99, -81) rather than the bar icon.

that happened to me. I thought i was just in an area that had no data coverage, just normal phone coverage but after a while i turned my phone off then on and the 3g came back. Maybe its the same for you?

i dont have a clue otherwise

i also have that same issue.. it pops in and out and now it has been gone for 5 minutes now.. sigh...
