Missing Features for default "Notes" folder in Notes app

I just started using the Notes app and noticed that the default "Notes" folder can't be nested or shared like user created ones. It's pretty annoying that the default folder, which can't be deleted, renamed or hidden, doesn't have all the features.

Is this by design? What's the point of having this folder? Do people just ignore it?

Ignore. It's also like that for a synced Exchange account, BTW.
