Missing half of top menu bar

OCLP is running Big Sur on my iMac 12.2. The complete left side fo the top menu bar has disappeared, so I have lost the Apple logo and other icons. The right side still is present but now transparent. Any ideas on how to restore it as I can only shut down via the power switch.

Have you tried changing display resolutions in settings to see if maybe a change to something else then back again gets things back to normal?

Gave up! Reinstall seemd to be the best and quickest option!

Same problem here with an upgraded cMP4.1->5.1. I would like to know if it is possible just to exchange "some files" or any other trick and have to menu bar back.
I would like to avoid a reinstall.
