Trying to jailbreak my 1.1.2 phone and I'm stuck on this step because the Oktoprep file is not there. Any thoughts, please and thank you

Step 3: Prepare your 1.1.1 device for the Update

1. Launch Installer.app

2. Scroll down to Tweaks (1.1.1)

3. Select OktoPrep

4. Click Install

When did you use jailbreakme.com? jailbreakme.com was updated last night I think so that OktoPrep is automatically installed when you install AppSnapp from the website...

This was last week and I did notice the jailbreakme update but when I go to jailbreakme.com there's nowhere to download the file, I've looked everywhere. Can you give me the url for the download. thanks

I dont have a link, plus I have no idea where the files go to get it to work. Just make sure you have ConceitedSoftware as a source and make sure it isnt already installed, and you should be good...

Ok, I'm feeling like a bit of a dummy but where on that jailbreakme.com/features link is the download.

Ok, my bad. I just saw the part of having to access the file from my iphone and not my computer. thanks for your help

did you find oktoprep

having the same prob: 1.1.1 install, jailbreak and no tweaks (1.1.1) folder, not any sign of oktoprep in installer! has anybody found it and where?

Same error, I'm activated on 1.1.1, but no oktoprep, and when I updated to 1.1.2 before, it simply wouldn't run the jailbreak.jar file.

I'd like to know what others are doing to jailbreak 1.1.2. At least I have a working phone at the moment.... but the sooner the better!

edit: this thread says to install Oktoprep manually, but it's been removed from the source list! So, any other suggestions?
edit2: I'm trying again, may have to install BSD Subsystem to see Oktoprep? I only installed Community Sources... will edit after 1.1.1 re-jailbreak!

missing oktoprep

I'm having the same problem. I'm fixing a friend's accidental upgrade. trying to upgrade and jailbreak 1.1.2 . I have also restored and virginized twice, downgraded to 1.1.1 about 5 times and the oktoprep is just not in the list of All Packages. This sucks...... please help.

You dont have to do all than now.
Just go to jailbreakme.com while on your 1.1.1
after that is installed add the source in installer to find the oktoprep file
Then you install it.
Next use option + update to go to 1.1.2
Then you click on the jailbreak.jar file
Phone is back in DFU mode and use iNdependence to kick it out
and you should be successfully jailbroken on 1.1.2

^_^

omfg THANK YOU THE SOURCE WORKED!!!! THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i joined just to post that lol....
