So I'm finding the new iOS 10 Mail annoying. When I receive several emails in a thread, I used to be able to tough the thread/topic, then it would list all of the replies that I could touch to read individually. But now it's a continuous thread that is VERY long. I can't find a setting to return things to the tree-structure I previously enjoyed. I don't mind the new structure when it's on the Mac, as it's been that way for a while, but I prefer having each email show separately on my iOS touch devices. Is there a setting to return things to how they were? I now hate viewing email on iOS

Have you tried changing the threading settings in the Mail section of Settings?

yes. There are three toggles to adjust, and I feel like I've tried every combination. I missed several work emails because they were buried below others in a thread, and I miss the old way of viewing things.

Well, disabling the threading options would have all emails just show up separately as you seemed to refer to being desirable in an earlier post.

Except that's not how it was before. If 5 people responded to a group email, the emails were placed together by the most recent email time. When tapping on the group, I was then given a screen showing the 5 emails and arrival times all with blue dots. I could read them one at a time, or Mark just one email as unread to view later. Now if I click on threading emails, I get 1 continuous email with page breaks. If I don't scroll down far enough, I may not realize there are multiple responses to look at

I guess I misinterpretted what you meant by having separate individual emails.

Agreed, the new mail threads are utter rubbish. Time for a new mail client.

What are the favourites?

I figured it out!!! If I click on the symbol ">>>" that denotes multiple messages, it will list them one at a time to click on!

Thank you, I noticed the same behavior as you but hadn't bothered to look at settings yet. Just found it hard to find all the individual messages in a thread on the small screen.
