After updating to Big Sur my Photostream album no longer shows in the Photos app. I see it on other devices and all devices are logged into the same AppleID. Am I missing something? Or is hidden somewhere else?

Thanks

Got similar issue, photo stream does not update on Mac M1 Air, have open ticket with apple and even with several calls and diagnosics / logs issued etc still no resolve.

The work around I currently using; open photos / open preferences / untick photo stream & re tick, note iCloud photos switched off, apple support advised that in preferences photos iCloud photos has to be off.

Frustrating as there is an issue, it worked then stopped then worked again, same with iCloud tabs...

You need to reactivate it in the Photos preferences. The update to Big Sur appears to turn it off, probably because Apple wants people to use iCloud Photos.

Just got off call for 5th time with the same person from apple support, they still have no idea of what the issue is??
Asked me to reinstall OS to see if that fixes the issue which I declined due to need to complete a back up, and again raised the tread here on the tabs issue and now with photo stream and they seem not to acknowledge the issue.

As previous the system is seamless between iPads / iPhones etc (both tabs and photo stream) but not on Mac running BS 11.1

Starting to get little frustrated, the whole point was to have it under one system and even simple items just don't work.

Crazy, in Big Sur 11.2.1 in a new MBA M1 I check My Photo Stream and nothing happens. It works in any other device, but not in this one. I don't know what else to try.

My iCloud Photo Stream on my MacBook Pro hasn't been working in months either. Getting really irritated about it. I was on the Big Sur Beta software program but stopped those updates hoping that would cure the issue but it hasn't. I'm currently still on Beta 11.3 since there haven't been any updates lately. I've tried turning off the Photo Stream on both my iPhone and MBP, but nothing makes the Photo Stream load pics on the MBP.

I have the same issue. Works neither on my MacBook Pro (2019 16") nor iMac (2020) both running the latest Big Sur. Yes, if I open Preferences, untick, then tick, Photo Stream, it eventually loads the latest set of images...on either machine. It's simply an annoyance that Apple won't fix in favor of finally killing it to force iCloud Photo and storage payment costs. That's my belief, anyhow.

For a decade this worked flawlessly, and still does between iDevices, and it even worked as it did from day one in Aperture until that slow agonizing death became real to me circa Big Sur. Amazing, we still have iMovie/Final Cut Pro and GarageBand/Logic, but somehow we Apple succombed to the Adobe world for photo editing and created Photos as it's replacement...I link the two!

I've been having the same issue in Monterey. Have solved it now.

My old setup: iMac (Mojave), MBP1 (Mojave), MBP2 (Catalina) and iPhone with iOS 15.1.

All worked perfectly.

As soon as MBP2 was upgraded to Monterey, PhotoStream stopped working. In Photos prefs, iCloud Photos was unticked and PhotoStream was ticked. No joy...nothing syncing. All other devices still working perfectly.

In Monterey the iCloud preferences, no longer has an option to leave iCloud Photos off and PhotoStream on (the options button is not there). I assumed I'd have to leave that on for Photo Stream to be activated. This was not the case. As soon as I unticked Photos in iCloud prefs, then unticked and ticked PhotoStream in Photos prefs, it started working again.

Fingers crossed this sticks!

Have the same problem after getting a M1 MB Air with Big Sur. Photo stream works for 1 or pics then stops. iCloud photos is unchecked. Have to toggle the prefs on both Photos apps. Then it works for 1 or 2 more pics. I have a MBP 2017 that is also running BS. Photostream works most of the time. . Please keep us updated with your progress. thanks.

Update: After numerous tries (resetting wifi, network prefs, iCloud, etc), to get this thing working, I found that after taking one or multiple pics, then accessing Photos, the pics would not load on PS from my iPhone 13. Then, toggling ONLY the Photos app My Photo Stream pref, It loads the pics. This works on both, my 2017 MBP and the M1 MBA. Hopefully, they come up with a fix.
