Agreed, I think they rolled out some nice products. I'll be the first to admit that the homepod (man I hate that name), looked rather silly but reading more about it. I think its a nice product, its limiting however, you really only get to fully leverage its usefulness if you subscribe to apple music.
The iPad Pro, is a nice evolutionary improvement, so much so, that I bought it. Its been several years since I got an iPad so they did something right.
The laptops getting spec bumps was a nice move, given that in the past, they forced us to wait a year.
As for missing Steve, he's dead, people need to move on. Yes he was a visionary, not question, yes he was able to push people beyond what they thought they could do, but he was also a jerk. He brought men and woman to tears and ripped into them countless times. I think he may have softened up in his later years but he was not always a pleasent person to be around.
He's now dead, and Apple is being run by someone who is completely different and will never be able to fill Job's shoes. He's not trying too and while I'm critical of Cook, I do think Apple has done many things right this year.
