I know this is a stupid mistake, but I've accidentally deleted a couple of images from my system files:

System/library/core services/dock.app/contents/resources/wviconshadow.png
& wviconshadow@2x.png

I thought as these forums have always been so helpful in the past, that someone could upload the files from their own mac. Thanks :^)

1. What no backup? If you are modifying system files/customising the "look" of your Mac, you want to make a copy of any file you're working on. And you should have a backup in any case.

2. Accepting files from strange men on the internet is generally bad practice, even if they are supposed to be image files.

3. Which version of OS X, just in case the files and filepaths differ?

4. You accidentally deleted, authorised and emptied the trash? Or using Terminal? Either way, I'd advise a little more caution. :D
