Mission Control showing two desktop backgrounds

When I hit mission control, I see the standard "blue pond" background I normally have and behind it is a larger and off-center "earth and moon" image. Is it normal to see two desktop backgrounds? In this apple link they only show one with the gray fabric behind it.

I get only the fabric. I also don't know of a way to change that.
Maybe you did some modding or it is a bug.
Nice bug for a change.

Place your cursor on the second desktop for a second or two, a cross will appear. Click to close the desktop.
