Mission Control won't promote a window

With some apps, a window opens behind, for example, my browser window. When I use Mission Control to show the various windows open and click on the window I want promoted to the front, the window briefly moves in front of the browser then immediately returns to where it was behind the browser. It's intermittent but very annoying.

Never had that happen personally to my knowledge. Have you tried restarting your Mac since you've noticed the issue? If you're like me, I don't ever restart unless forced to.

I am like you. I'll give it a shot but the problem is so intermittent, I won't really know if it helps. I haven't rebooted since the last time it happened and it isn't happening now.
