Misson control spaces moving?

I use spaces a lot for apps like mail, outlook, and calendar that I keep open in full screen all the time. I notice that order of the spaces on the mission control view changes frequently, even when I have created no new spaces (I think). I would prefer that the orientation be static after I set up the order I prefer.

Any thoughts? What am I doing wrong?
