Hey everyone, I received my long awaited Nudock this week and although I haven't spent much time with it I wanted to post some pictures and some initial thoughts. I originally backed the indiegogo campaign in April and paid for the expedited shipping for reference.

  • Packaging was very nice and had that "Apple product" feel (although the quality of the packaging materials didn't feel nearly as premium as Apple's own packaging.
  • The actual dock seems to very well built and feels sturdy. I am pleased with the quality of craftsmanship but I did have the wipe it down with a damp cloth in a few small areas as there seemed to be some smudges / marks when I took it out of the box. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. It did have plastic wrapping around the outside that you peel off.
  • I purchased the silver dock and it is slightly more shiny than the silver aluminum on my iMac / Keyboard / trackpad.
  • The touch sensor for the LED light works great and also works as a dimmer when holding it down. I prefer to keep it on the brightest setting while on my desk.
  • There doesn't seem to be a way to connect the dock to my computer to allow syncing of the phone and watch while docked, but I understand that this product is originally designed to be used on a night stand for docking items at night.

So far I am very pleased with it even though a lot if the hype and excitement from when I originally ordered it has died down. It is a great addition to my desk and looks amazing.

Have not tried the Nuki battery charger but will chime back in after I have used it some more.

This is really nice to see :) it does look really nice. Sadly I don't have a nice desktop setup like yours as it matches so well! :D

On Indiegogo some backers have complained about scratches/ marks and such but I feel like it will get marked up soon anyway.

I have a few questions if that's ok :)
Did you have to assemble it together?
Was it easy to do?
Does it come with a lightning and watch cable?

I feel like the portable battery is pretty useless for charging an iPhone. I suppose it will give quite a few full charges for the watch while you are travelling so that could be handy :)

TasheRAWR,

The only assembly really is installing the Apple Watch Cable (which is not included)...other than that the lamp is fully assembled. I have heard that it is a little tricky to install the cable but I have not yet tried it. I will be picking up a second cable later today or tomorrow and can follow once I have a better idea. It does however come with the lightning cable already installed and ready to use.

The portable battery is actually something I am very excited about. It is smaller than I was anticipating and will be perfect for traveling or keeping in my work bag. It also has a built in lightning connector that pulls out the side so you can connect your iPhone while on the go without worrying about carrying an extra cable with you.

Thank you for answering my questions :)

I'm hoping I can manage just using my included cable for the watch even if it means I'll have to remove it and reinstall every time I go away from home.
Good to hear it has a lightning cable one less cable to mess around with :p hopefully it can be removed as I find my lightning cables don't last very long so I'll probably have to replace it eventually :)

I think for me I'm not overly excited due to already having a portable battery that can charge quite a bit more. It will probably be more useful for people that don't previously have one. It does look very nice though and a built in lightning cable does sound easier as less cable :) I'll probably give it a try and if I find it's not for me I'll give it to a family member or friend.
