Hi,
I’ve just bought a refurb Mac Pro 7.1 12 core with 96gb of RAM (6x16gb). I would like 192gb so had planned to buy an additional 6x16gb of Kingston or Crucial RAM.
However some people have been advising against mixing brands of RAM, even if I stuck to the same size and preferred x6 configuration.
Has anyone done this and tested to see if it resulted in lower speeds?
It doesn’t make sense for me to bin the Apple memory, it would make more sense for me to return the machine instead whilst I can. Thanks for your help!
