Hi - i wonder someone is able to help me here. I recently tried converting a TV show in MKV format (720p) containing a AC3 5.1 sound stream into an Applt TV compliant format. I used most up-to-date Visual Hub software, and simply dropped the file into the window and selected the format to be Apple TV and dragged the quality format to 'go nuts. The converted file was in MP4 format and 1.35gb in size. I did not change any other settings in Visual Hub - left them to their default values.

Now when i synced the file over to apple tv, and tried to playback on HD TV I have, it just hangs. I haven't given it long to load (i.e. assume it hangs as after 3mins nothing appears to happen). I can no longer go back in menus or do anything else - other than plug the system out to restart and then re-plug.

Any suggestions to what i could be doing wrong? Is it a conversion format (I am aware that apple tv only plays backs at 24fps, but i am assuming Visual Hub would have taken care of that in its conversion when i selected Apple TV format on optimize for tab)?

Thanks

I have tried to do the same thing and have had no good results. (Though i am streaming to a xbox 360). So i am also interested in an answer.
