yeah tried that last night but didnt seem to work, unless i did it wrong - have you been able to export ok?

ive been reading alot about using mkv 720p files and people have said perin works, what is perin?

really stuck!! ...and really want to watch these movies, there must be a way to convert them to mp4

there isnt an option for that in vlc is there?

thought visual hub would decode it but that says there is more than two input channels wrong or something, wont let me convert it at all.

yep got the most up to date one - still aint working. Do i need to have specific advanced settings? I wonder if its worth re-installing it? all though i cant see it making a difference.

what film did you convert, was it a HD film? The ones im trying to convert are 720p. and the error message reads something along the lines of two or more imput channels ...

i dont know the rest, i will try again and post the message - but does anyone have a clue how i can resolve this??

This works fine for me in visual hub.

Thanks thats a great help to me ...

the error mesage reads -

an error prevented 300.mkv's conversion from starting.
resampling with input channels greater than 2 unsupported.abort at ffmpeg.c:1574.

does anyone know what this means and how i can change it to make it work?????

Sorry, I just realized it wasn't an HD film. Perhaps that has something to do with it. How large is the MKV file?

they are around 2 - 3 gb in size.

i think its to do with the audio channels, with it being 5.1 dolby but dont know how to change it to stereo in visual hub

Visual Hub is perfect for MKV files, haven't encountered an issue since updating to the latest version. I had an audio issue like what you have said with the 5.1 stuff, which for the life of me I couldn't work out, but it all seems to be fine as of 1.25 and I haven't had the issue in 1.26 either.
