Anyone else notice its a lot slower since the last update? Especially internet browsing. I've always used FireFox cause I hate safari and after this last update browsing is slow, DL's seem to go slower, etc...

Quad core i5 iMac and 30mbps internet so No, it's not that (Before someone tries being smart and stating the obvious ;))

I am not a developer so I do not have ML to test your question but am I am curious why you have had no response to your question.. Has anyone noticed this slow down?

There's about a million reasons why someones computer may run slower than someone else's. I wouldn't worry about it till it's released, after all why do you care, you're not fool enough to run a beta on your primary computer.

Exactly why I was interested in other peoples experience as far as slow Down to see if it was isolated. Hence why we ask questions in the forums to find out what others have found.. Is it isolated, have many noticed same thing? That's what beta is, to ask and seek out issues...

Thats all I and the poster want to know.. ;)

Well if he's running the Developer Preview, he should file a radar with Appl... Oh wait, if he actually had any legitimate reason to be running it, he'd already know that Apple has a method for reporting these issues and even has a thriving Developer Discussion board solely for these things. I have no problems with people running ML if they aren't a dev, but coming here, asking a question about why pre-release software doesn't behave exactly as wanted, then flipping out when people don't have an answer?

It's a DEVELOPERS BETA, it's designed to test software / hardware compatibility for developers. It's also a honeypot for impatient types mostly the kiddies who feel the need to screw up their Macs for top dweeb credit at Ridgemount High. The NDA the OP agreed to should have explained this.

Since nobody has responded then it would appear to be isolated to the OP or because it's a beta and the drivers aren't optimized yet. Besides the OP could be running all sorts of gubbage in the background, playing Diablo, HD crashing, motherboard failing, ISP problems, crappy WiFi, cheap router, who knows.

Either way, till it's released it's going to have a bug or few. Even after it's release it'll be getting patches (as do all OS's).

Maybe your magic 8 ball can offer some insight.

Funny, I did not ask for your assumptions as to what might be wrong. For the sake of saving this thread I will bow out of this conversation since you have successfully dominated it with all but what was asked for in the beginning.

Ya know, this was quite simple, the man asked if after the upgrade anyone noticed a difference in speed.. No one answered in a while to I rekindled the question along with another who was interested in others experience after upgrade and we get responses like ""it's in beta""

Well those of us who are watching the threads like myself who are following the progress, was curiose as well since it was first I had read of it. Most threads are saying is much faster than current.

Why did you even answer if you did not have something good to say that related directly to the question other than its still in beta. How about leaving it alone or saying during your upgrade u had no problems or maybe u did but still in beta so not to worry...

Would that have been to much to do? Honestly, re read your reply.. Did not have to go down like this.. My apologies for stirring this up for those that don't see what I am saying here and for the original poster of this thread, well I tried to get you answers. Sorry I failed so miserably! Lol. At least made for some good reading maybe? Heh

This sort of thing happens with every beta, mostly non developers yammering how something is broke or slower, yada yada yada.

An in joke is someone will say "Safari runs much faster on OS..."

Just FYI I am not running it and who is to say the original poster is not a dev.. Perhaps your should stay out of this one.

And Bluroom, their was no problem until your original response hence all this... Let's just stop it here shake hands and walk away.. I'm new to the forums and really did not wish to meet people this way and still do not so I will be the first to lay down my sword in surrender... If your grace will allow :)

Perhaps you should from refrain from telling someone to stay out of a public topic. And if he/she IS a dev, there are proper channels to bring this issue up that will assuredly result in a quicker and more accurate response.

What the heck are these forums for then? Almost every thread in this place is riddled with like questions! Who even said it was deemed an issue yet? Simply wanted to know if others had the problems! Give me a break people! Can we end this now please? Lays down hidden dagger in a second attempt at peace!

I dont think it matters WHY someone is running something. I've always asked questions in more than one place so I don't see why it matters WHERE I ask something.

If the answer is "No", then I dont see any other reason for the posts than to encourage arthritis and waste bandwidth.
