ml iMessage and phone numbers!?

i have ios6 beta 3 and i have my phone number linked with my apple id but i dont see a way to get this working on my macs. has this just not been released yet or what?

I think it'll be released in an update for ML when iOS 6 is released to the public.

I find it plausible that it will not be introduced in a public release of ML until the public release of iOS 6.
