Hello,
I just have upgraded my new MBA (2012) to Mountain Lion.
I noticed that the first time I have launched applications (say Reminder, Notes, Text, a new Finder window, a new Safari window), the system became unresponsive for a few seconds.
Is this normal ? (like he is writing some stuffs somewhere ?)
Thanks

Nope, that is not normal. I'm not getting any problem when launching something.

Right after you have upgraded to ML, spotlight will start to re-index and it can take some time, anything from 5-10min to hours depending on content and the Mac your using.

In that time, things can seem a bit slow and fans might start make a lot of noise. But once it's done, all should be up to speed again.

It's the re-indexing... Since I'm new to Mac, I got worried when it happened to me too, so I checked my Activity Monitor and it was the indexing process. Took about 10 minutes and now it's smoother than ever...
