I would imagine so. You can't watch them on the computer, so it would be the same for the app too.Question... if you sign up to MLB.tv, are you still blacked out from you local home games? That would suck.
STUPID. They need to take blackout restrictions away from mobile devices! That is the point of a mobile device.... to BE MOIBLE.
I'm not able to sit at home and watch the game on TV, thus I'd like to use my phone device to watch the game. Perfect example is being at work... or at the park... or ANYWHERE but home.
Because the TV station plays money to be allowed to show the game, and they want to make sure that if you want to watch the game you have to watch it on their tv station.
You can now watch every game if you are subscribted to MLB.TV
kinda lame imo you gotta pay 10 bucks for this than Subscription along with what ever you pay if you got a iPhone.... i really liked what they were doing with MLB but this is kinda lame.
No I can see his point. $60 a year (if you want good quality) to watch every game and another $10? This is my gripe with Sirus/XM where I pay a fee to subscribe and they want more $ for me to listen over the iPhone airwaves ... mostly my wifi network which I also pay for?I'm not trying to pick a fight here and I know others agree with you, but how exactly is this lame? $10 and you get an app that does everything it did on April 5th, then the added bonus of 2 games per day, and now this offer. I'm not an mlb.tv subscriber, but I might look into it. If I decide to pass on it, I still have the app I paid for (which was already better than I had hoped for) and the bonus of live video of games I didn't expect to get when I plunked down my $10. Those who have an mlb.tv subscription along with the app reap an extra bonus, good for them. I wish it included those of us paying for the Extra Innings package on TV, but I'm not going to complain about it.
I'm a very happy customer at this point. Hopefully next year they don't jack the price up unreasonably, but that will be something to discuss if it does happen.

Seriously, I get it, but since I don't have a TV in my office (don't care to get one either) I really love this idea. I paid $10 for the app which is leading to $40-$60 a year for me to get all the games. It is a huge marketing ploy by MLB.TV if you ask me and it's working. But I see the point, it would be nice if a major company would actually give previous customers a little something something for being a previous customer.
