There is no app update necessary. Select a game from the previous day, go to the video tab, and the first entry should be "CG: " :D

As first reported by The Biz Of Baseball.

Yes - I meant to post about that this morning. Discovered it on my commute.

Each game is edited so you see just a hit or an out (or any scoring plays) into a condensed game. I viewed the Giants-Braves game in 7 1/2 minutes.

Love it - makes this app even better !

They are really making this hard not to buy...

Can you use your current MLB.tv account with it?

If you're asking whether you can view live games, then no. There's no 'hook' into MLB.tv, plus we all know AT&T wouldn't allow it. But the Gameday audio is standard.

There are rumors of live games coming in an update sometime after OS3.0... possibly as an extra cost addon. Nothing confirmed yet though.

The feature is nice, and it really is a super quick way to see all the plays.

The image seems really grainy/pixelated to me. Is this what all of the steaming video is going to be like?

I just wish I could use my current MLB.tv account to get audio already, without paying the full $10 for the audio version (such as offering the audio capability in the Lite, without all the separate extras that are offered in the full version).

I'm being picky, but it's all good. I was just thinking that condensed games were only for .tv users, I didn't think it came w/ Audio, too.

Re: the video highlights, it was the 8th inning of a game last night and I was able to see about 7-8 game highlights like replays of home runs, with slo-mo replays and it had audio. A great feature, agreed.

For Giants fans at the game, the Giants basically let you use the web app version of MLB at bat on their own WiFi network. Same deal as the app, sans audio. But you can see the video replays, as well as other ballpark stuff (where's the nearest garlic fry stand & guy who sells tumms).
