Did it add Game Day audio? If it did, I am buying it in a heartbeat.

No audio but most other gameday features! Now this is what I thought I was getting with MLB At Bat to begin with! Color me happy and more than a little surprised at MLB!

Can someone explain exactly what they changed instead of just saying how awesome it is?

What an incredible update. Someone else put it best...this could be a 2.0 version with all the features they added.

That being said, I was skeptical about buying next season (if that'll be the case), but these features so far have sold me on getting the app again next year.

Very good update! Pleasantly surprised.

Is it confirmed that this is true? I will be surprised if we have to repurchase every year.

It says you get access for the rest of the 08 season when it first came out, wouldn't surprise me at all if you need to re-purchase it next year.

I may be wrong, but how can they make you repurchase it? I can see them charging for an update, but I'm not sure how they can charge you more for the app down the road after you already paid for it. If that was the case, then the app would kind of be like a trial version that you pay for a certain period of time (which I didn't think was allowed). But I do see where everyone can get the idea of being charged per season from their description of the app.

They'll just stop updating the feeds to the current app when next year's season starts, and put out a new 2009 app for next year that people can buy.

Does the update make the Texas Rangers NOT suck? :(

I don't think even the Jesus phone has that ability. ;)

Wow, indeed. If the update hasn't shown up on your device, simply go to the App Store and "buy" it. The system should recognize that you've already bought it and download the update for free. At least it did for me.

How do you personalize your "favorite" team and the update frequency?

It's in a submenu under settings. Although I used it at the park tonight and if you set it to update every 15 seconds it starts to run battery fairly quickly. I'd recommend either setting it to 30 seconds, or setting it to 15 and exiting the app when you're not immediately using it.

It cant stream any MLB game audio. XMradio and MLB.com has the contracts to stream them online.

Err MLB At Bat is an app made my MLB.com so that isn't an issue like Sprint's exclusivity with the NFL is. It is probably an incompatibility issue with their streams or something like that preventing them from adding the game audio.
