Available on Versiontracker I found a seemingly useful version of mldonkey for the non-haxOrs here. It worked for me on the first time, then it crashed, and now it doesn´t find anything. I wonder if the daemon is off or something like that.

I can´t really use the terminal, so I tried this one... Does anybody use it/like it/recommend it? I also wonder how to get the real deal mldonkey running...

I don't understand: are you talking about the GUI or just the MLdonkey service? Because MLdonkey 2.5.3 works fine on OSX, and you can use your browser to set it up (there is a thread in the new apps section). If you need more info about how to use it, I (and I guess a few others) will be happy to help you (as much as I can) in that thread.

PS: there quite a few GUI available, but I for one am still using the browser.

It made 14 gigs worth of useless files on my harddisk (which only showed up under user)..........yea use at ur own risk.,
