I am able to get a 10% discount on Mac Mini but this excludes build to order was planning to get the i5 with 512gb storage but only able to get 256gb with ready to go models. I wanted to use bootcamp purely for gaming purposes everything else is in Mac OS. Will I get any performance issues using an external drive or should I just take the let the 10% discount go?

Thank you for any guidance.

It WILL be slower running from an external drive but if your not TOO serious of a gamer, not that big a deal... I'd go for the deal. 10% is 10%.
