I got my iPhone to send and receive mms today, however, when I turned my phone off then back on, it stopped working again. Any way to make it stick without switching back to my other phone and making AT&T think I have that now?

Thanks.

i really want MMS.
how did you get mms anyway?

switched my sim card into another phone and activated on the att mobile media site... made a few calls etc... sent some MMS...

Then it stopped working after about 10 minutes on my iphone when I switched the sim back :(

Its like your phone tells the website its an iPhone, and it switches it back to no MMS. Is there a way to stop AT&T from seeing what type of phone you have?

It boggles the mind how impatient some people are. I don't understand why you guys can't wait a couple more months after waiting two years.

Why go through the headache and frustration? AT&T surely has a good reason for not providing it up until this point.

I understand myself and the others with my opinion are probably the minority and this scramble to skirt AT&T and use MMS is going to continue. Can I make one small request?

Quit making new threads. There's several others on the front page of this forum that you can post in.

You going to cry?

Oh damn. I forgot how immature you were.

Maybe I should have picked one of the other twelve front page MMS threads to make the request.

Moving on...

You forgot how immature I was, yet you are the one coming here like you are the iPhone message board police. You are the one spending precious time telling others what not to post, when you could be outside playing in the sun, throwing some stones, kicking it back.

Yes sir, I am the immature one coming to an iPhone message board asking how to get the settings to stick for more than 10 minutes. If you can find me a thread that answers this question other than "keep trying", please let me know sir.

I am but a little grasshoppa in this dangerous world Mr. MacRumors Cop. Sorry I have disturbed you, and I am sorry I forced your mouse button over this thread and made it collapse upon its frame... and loading this horrible thread.

Being at work holds me from "playing in the sun, throwing some stones, kicking it back". Thanks for the suggestion though. I'll have to give that a shot some time. Outside is oh so scary though...

I didn't call you immature for your coming to a message board to ask questions. After all, that's what they're here for. I called you immature for your childish comment that mirrors others I've seen in the past. Like I said earlier, I obviously picked the wrong thread to voice a concern and "police". I've already learned that as an average joe user lacking mod rights, I have no way of voicing my concerns over this matter other than picking one of the many and saying something.

Anyway. Go on and defend your right to needlessly replicate the already staggering amount of MMS threads. Maybe a miracle solution will pop up one of these times.

Mms

If i jailbroke my phone when MMS is availble will I be able to use it or how will that work?

.

I was actually able to get mms on at&t back with my Edge iphone for the two years or so through Swirlymms. Trust me the wait is killing me now that I own a 3gs and I can't find a good workaround this time :(

If at&t delays this for more than a month I am going to do what I did before

get swirly and change my iphone plan to a medianet package...I know there migth be penalties this time around since medianet is cheaper than the iphone 3gs plan :(

or actually we might not even need swirly this time around since there are hacks to enable the camera/video option this time around
