MMS on tmobile 2G with 3.1 FW

i installed ActivateMMS2G on my 3.1 jailbroken unlocked tmobile iphone 2G and rebooted device and it got hung up on the pineapple screen... soooo i had to put it back in DFU and restore, rejailbrake, etc... so my question is... is it confirmed that this doesn't work on 3.1? and is there a successful way to have MMS on a tmobile iphone 2G with 3.1 firmware?

i've tried looking some stuff up but can't find anything for 3.1... thanks.
