Hi. Someone know settings or extension to disable permanently the responsive websites? I only want see normal desktop version in safari. Thanks

Doesn't work :(

Please try: www.ewrc-results.com

It's not that it doesn't work - it's that some sites refuse to honor "Request Desktop Site."

If you want to view desktop sites only, you'll need to use a third party browser that actually changes the user agent string sent to the site. I use Puffin. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/puffin-web-browser/id472937654?mt=8
I am sure there are many other third party browsers that can do this, too.
Some sites don't really have a mobile or desktop site, but just a single responsive site that adjusts based on the browser/device or essentially screen size that you are using to view it.

You can essentially see that with the example that was used when you look at www.ewrc-results.com in a desktop browser and resize the window to make it smaller as if it was a smaller screen on a phone--the site adjusts in the window and essentially looks like it would look in a browser on the phone.

Well put. But some sites, which do have separate desktop and mobile versions, explicitly ignore the request.

Here's one such site:
https://www.macrumors.com
If you bring up this site on your iPhone, you get the mobile version. If you request the desktop version, you still get the mobile version. However, if you scroll down to the bottom of the web page on your iPhone, there is a switch labeled "Use Mobile Theme" which is set to "ON." If you turn that switch off, it switches to the desktop site.

Of course, since that web site is run by people not knowledgeable about the iPhone and Mobile Safari, I'm not surprised it ignores the "Request Desktop site" request. /s

Appleinsider.com kept changing the URL on me to iPhone.appleinsider.com

Now, that's a site that works correctly. If you select "Request Desktop Site," you get the desktop site appleinsider.com, not iphone.appleinsider.com. It does correct for screen width for the narrower iPhone screen, as C DM explained above.

Actually, I think this is very well thought out by appleinsider.

Yes. That app show me right.

Wrong. That guy Andre wanted to know how to disable the content blockers.

Andre, do you have the blocker apps installed or no? For example, Firefox Focus, Puffin, Crystal, etc. If so, tap and hold the reload icon to see "Reload without Content Blocker" or go to Settings > Safari > Content Blockers.

He's trying to get desktop sites to view by default on Safari, not disable content blockers.

Nothing really about content blockers at all here.

If it's really a responsive website, like MacRumors, there is no difference between desktop and mobile. Responsive websites just scale. You can't disable responsive.
