Yesterday (September 8th), the application Mobile Banking on AT&T, developed by Firethorn Holdings LLC, was updated to version 4.0. Following this update, my bank (Wachovia) is no longer listed as a supported provider in the application. Also, the application itself appears to have disappeared entirely from the App Store (I certainly can't find it).
If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this application (from Get Info - note that I downloaded the new version on 9/8).
This post from TUAW contains a link to where the app SHOULD be in the App Store, but it says that it's no longer available. Firethorn Holdings LLC still shows up as a developer in the iTunes Store, but clicking on the name reveals empty results.
The developer's website still touts the existence of the application and still lists both AT&T and Wachovia as partners.
On AT&T's website, the iPhone does not show up as a phone with a mobile banking application.
Finally, on Wachovia's website, the iPhone no longer appears as a mobile banking device (it's within a secure area of the site so I can't post a link), when it was DEFINITELY there before.
Basically, I'm just wondering what the hell is going on. I'm pretty sure the app was free, but it was very helpful to be able to access my bank account info without having to open Safari. I've done searches and (to my amazement) I can't find any other posts on this. Has the app disappeared/stopped working for others? Needless to say, if you use this app, you might not want to download the new update.
