Honestly over the last couple of years what has kept me on iPhones has been the mobile gaming performance and features. For me, because of my work and how long I’m away from home, I’ve adapted to 100% mobile gaming which I know isn’t quite the norm yet in North America. But I’ve been dying to make the switch to Android, because besides the gaming performance, I feel androids offer a lot more overall compared to iPhones for features.

The single biggest feature for gaming that I use is 3D Touch. For daily phone usage, I don’t use it much, but for gaming it’s a huge asset for me. It’s great for games like pubg, grid Autosport, modern combat etc.

I love my wife’s note 8, it runs pubg on extreme settings very smoothly, but I can’t for the life of me play it well without 3D Touch.

Question is, is there going to be any android phone coming out soon with a similar haptic feedback that could be taken advantage of for gaming? I feel that’s a huge thing to give up for someone like me who exclusively does mobile gaming

I also love 3D Touch. Not only is 3D Touch most likely not making it's way to Android, Apple is phasing it out of their phones :(
I’ve heard that rumour as well, if that happens that will be the end of Apple for me as that’s literally the biggest thing keeping me in lol

Never was a big fan of that function so I tend to overlook it.
It’s a huge asset for me in the games I play. Proper throttle and brake control in grid autosport. Push to shoot for faster reaction times in pubg and modern combat and other shooting and racing games which I play.

I prefer using a gamepad when I use my phone. Xbox one controllers work over Bluetooth.

Sony Xperia Xz2, xz2 premium and xz3. These phones have Dynamic Vibration System. Way better than anything.

This works like 3D Touch for gaming? Because all I’m reading is the feedback is gives you like a PlayStation controller rumble feedback. But nothing to do with pressure sensitive touch feedback

It's more than that. The phone vibrates in 3d dimensions depending on what's happening on the screen. Games, music, YouTube, literally anything. Idk what games are optimized for it, but in android it has 3d touch haptics for long press, not pressure touch. Tested it on Sony store on xz3 and is insane. But I don't like the phone. Maybe the new xperia 1 will be more appealing ...
[doublepost=1558159041][/doublepost]This dynamic Vibration system is more like a 3d feedback than 3d touch.
[doublepost=1558159249][/doublepost]My experience with it was insane. Watched a demo video on it of a parachute man falling and the phone created the sensation that I was falling also. Insane.

There won’t be anything like 3D Touch on Android anytime soon. It’s not something even in any OEMs roadmap that I know of.
