Mobile Me Gallery Gone from Apple TV

I noticed that the Mobile Me Gallery "app" on my Apple TV (2nd Generation) is now gone. I was a bit surprised that it was gone in the absence of a software update. Does anyone know if Apple can push out "silent" updates to the Apple TV?

the "apps" are enabled or disable via the internet, no software update is required.

it was the same for Netflix in the UK, it just appeared when the service was available to the UK.
