Hi Guys,

Was wondering if you guys could answer a few questions for me on this topic as I'm a newbie.

So I have a 3 computer and my e-mail go to my hosting server, but the only problem is that it doesn't sync all my e-mail on each computer, so if I delete something off one computer it doesn't do it on another, So I'm assuming I need to use Mobile me or iCloud to solve this as it sync it all. So what is the
difference between the two (Mobile Me & iCloud) as they seem the same?

Also have a custom e-mail address which is with my hosting company 1&1. I would like you use that e-mail address on a Mobile me or iCloud account, rather than using their default e-mail address, is this possible, if so how?

Apologies if the above sounds stupid, but I'm slowly learning!

Cheers.

iCloud has replace MobileMe which dies in June 2012. You can not use a customer email address with this service. You have to use a "userid@me.com". iCloud and a number of features besides email, like Contacts, Calendar, etc. which you can use without email. Regarding you current problem, if you are use IMAP for you email then the changes happen to the server and then sync to all devices that access it. Maybe they will not PUSH to the all devices but at least they should sync when you access the mail.

It looks like 1&1 supports IMAP and that would keep the devices synced like you want. Make sure you are using the IMAP settings posted here.
