so my friend just lost his iphone and he dosent have mobile me so i was wondering if u do not have tho iphone can u sign up for mobile me and find ur phone or do u need to set it up on the phone, i thought u just needed the serial #.

Unfortunately you need to set it up on the phone itself.

There's also AT&T's FamilyMap...but in order to set it up it texts a confirmation code to the phone first so that won't work either.
