I'm stuck in a Mobile Me loop from hell trying to access using Safari. I get an apple.com iPad set up screen. Even though I've completed the set up (the calendar events have pushed to my iPad) it won't let me actually sign into Mobile Me.

I can sign into Mobile Me using Atomic Browser, but as of the morning it doesn't recognize anything I try to do via the touchscreen!

Anyone else having these issues, or have any suggestions?

Thanks!

What are you trying to do?

I've never been able to access the actual website from my iPad it directs me to using the apps. BTW, I have only tried accessing it via Safari. I have not tried using iCab or AB.

I'm trying to enter calendar events because I can code them (work/home/sports etc) on the Mobile Me website.

I assume that you are talking about creating a new calendar All you need to do is setup your desktop computer to sync with your Mobile Me account and then you can create those calendars and they will be synced back to your iPad. That's what I do.

As the last poster said, set up your individual calendars on your desktop first then sync them to MobileMe.

When you sync your iPad with MobileMe, all of your individual calendars will be there. That way you can start using the calendar app.

I am with this dude, all I ever get is the screen to setup mobile me. It is set up I have had an account for 2 years. there is no sign in screen nor do you get anywhere that remotely looks like mobile me on your regular mac.

When you create the calendar event on your iPad, you will have the option of. What calendar it should be associated with. The screen with the Title and Location scrolls. I believe it is the last item. It will let you choose which calendar it shield be on.

Thanks, Hammie. Now that the calendars have synced I see the options to choose which one.

I would still like to be able to get into Mobile Me using the iPad to delete some contacts and bookmarks. I have to wait until I can get home and get onto my Mac. Seems silly that there isn't a way to get there. It's just a web site!

I totally agree that it is a PITA to modify contacts, especially adding them to multiple groups. That is the feature I use more than the calendar. Oh well, maybe it will get better over time.

Glad I was able to help!

I wish there was an option to sign in as a desktop for MobileMe. I keep getting redirected to the apps...

icab

iCab seems to let me use the web mobileme just fine. I have not yet tried all functions of it etc, but I have used mail and the idisk on it

You can delete, edit or add contacts on your devices and that action will sync up to the cloud and back down to your desktop. Bookmarks can't be managed at all on the MM site, has to be done in the browser itself, and again, it will sync.

The modifications from an iPad have been weak for contacts.

These are some of the things I cannot do:

- Add Groups
- Delete Groups
- Add contact to multiple Groups
- Move contact to another Group

If you know how these can be done, please share them with me. I have not been able to find a way to do it. I have had to revert to my laptop to accomplish these tasks.

No, you're correct about that, you can't manage groups on the device. Actually, and I just remembered this, if you add a contact just goes into the contact root, and to place it in a group you have to use MM or the computer.

Hopefully with the OS 4 update, along with the unified inbox, some of these features will be added as well. I would like to be able to collapse the folder tree for one thing.
