Hi guys,

I'm thinking of signing onto mobile me but I had a few questions.

1) Is there a way to import all my old emails into my new @me.com email address - I currently have a sympatico account - canada??

2) I have a new website that has an email address that people use - lets say it's info@mywebsite.com. I can forward this email address so all emails sent to this address forward to my @me.com address. My questions is - if I go to my inbox at my @me.com account and find an email that was sent to my info@mywebsite address and hit reply - can the reply email look like it's being sent from my info@mywebsite address rather than the @me.com address?? If so, how would i do this??

1. Sorta, if you can get your email working in Mail.app then you can just drag all of your old email to MobileMe.

2. Not that I'm aware of. This would be neat. I'm sure someone more experienced in the area might have a work around.

#2 I think so, in Mobile Me Mail Prefs, there is section for setting up "Aliases", which you can set and select per e-mail. Haven't tried it yet but it appears to be what you're asking.

Aliases only allow you to have other mac.com or me.com addresses linked to your original me.com address.
ie. original@me.com can be aliased to
notsooriginal@me.com
anotherone@me.com etcetra… as long as they are not already taken under mac.com or me.com.

Your smtp will still show as original@me.com or any of its aliases.

Have you considered gmail's business apps?

#2. You pretty much need to use an email client (iPhone, Outlook etc.). You can't do this if you use the MobileMe Web Interface.
