So im trying to set up the icloud on ios 5 beta 2 and i type in my mobile me account and also the password. Then a notification pops up saying not an icloud account this mobileme account has not been migrated to icloud. How do i migrate it to icloud? or is that not possible yet? The other confusion is if i create a new account with a me.com from my iphone then i get the icloud features with the back up photo stream etc etc...

not sure on 2nd point, but I dont think its possible to convert a MM account to an iCloud one during the beta
cannot migrate until official launch.
what are you trying to say with the latter? you asking if you set up a me.com from the phone will you get backup, photostream etc? then yes. but you cannot merge your existing mobileme with the new one when official launch starts
thats weird for apple to do. If icloud service is already avaliable why not have a way to transition to it for people who have a mobileme account already...

exactly, as per the new released notes for iOS beta 2, they are purging the Cloud at random times during the beta, so anyone storing data on there will be prone to losing the data at any time between now and september.
