I have been trying to use the iPad more each day while working out in the field. I can not believe how bad the browsers are when trying to use semi complex pages.

I'm not tech head, but picture a web page loaded.then onn the page a bordered area that you can scroll though contacts or information requested. These browsers can bring upnthe box, and information.. But it will not allow me to scroll in the box and keeps it static. Example: The window I am typing this post in.. I can't scroll it back up to see what has been typed at the top.

I have seen several other browsers, like the one on the N900 work with this flawlessly. What is the proper term for what is not working? (Java?)

Is this going to be addressed in 4.0? Is this something that can be fixed via jailbreak?

Thanks in advance!

I believe what you are talking about can be resolved by using two fingers to scroll within the text box. Try it out and report back.

That did the trick! Thanks for helping this old man out. :p

I do have a zipform website that says it needs Java. Is this going to be improved on or are they in a Adobe Flash type pissing match with Apple?

Thanks again!

Like on the iPhone...press the Home button and power button at the same time.

Would love to have iPhones, however as a business owner AT&T rapes me per month. Had to switch off them after iPhone 1.

This is the error I am receiving.

Yeah, the iPod/iPhone/iPad OS can't run Java. Or at least, the browser can't.
