Hate it when you get re-directed to a mobile site. Funny as its just started happening for some reason, anyway round this?

Normally, some sites feature the View Desktop Version button. Try looking for that.

Also, I too hate when I get directed to an iPhone optimized site. I don't want that watered down baby internet crap. I have a freaking iPhone capable of viewing the full version, show me that!

LOL:D

Well, there is also something in Cydia called UserAgent Faker which allows you to view websites as though you were on a desktop. In SBSettings you can toggle on or off once you've installed it, but I'm not sure how it works without SBSettings installed, in fact I think you must have SBSettings installed because it's an add-on, I'm not positive on this though.

It's on a case by case basis for non hacked phones tho. The only site I have found that doesn't let me visit the whole site versus the mobile site on my iPod touch would be TUAW, aren't they supposed to be even more up on supporting all the features of the iPhone/iPod touch the non Apple professing sites?

I hate the way rss feeds redirect to reader.mac.com. If you open this rss feed: http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories

it opens this link which is a real pain if you want to copy and paste the link into, say, your rss reader
Code:
http://reader.mac.com/mobile/v1/http%3A%2F%2Frss.news.yahoo.com%2Frss%2Ftopstories

Gizmodo.com has a mobile sites, my eyes cringe at sight. Microsoft has all its sites be mobile (I use hotmail) no matter what you do. And MS mobile sites are like stabbing you in the liver. (no pun intended)

I think all the mobile sites should have it standard that there is a link to go to the original site. I don't even bother with msn any more.

You know what that is? Some marketing d1ckhead in Windows Mobile division has said "Hey our sites look great on the iPhone but cr@p on Windows Mobile. We've gotta stop that happening."

No. You could use a proxy or something... but this is much easier and more reliable.

Ok cheers, do you know why some sites have suddenly started to change to mobil sites in safari-there is only 2sites I have problems with and they used to work fine until recently.

Because those sites suck? I don't know. I hate it when website have an iPhone version.

I HAVE AN IPHONE SO I CAN USE FULL WEBPAGES ON MY PHONE. I DON'T NEED A MOBILE SITE.
