I noticed yesterday that syncing with mobileme from my work iMac has stopped working. So today I thought I'd use a spare moment to checkout the live chat support. But when I click on the 'chat now' button at the LiveChat Support page (http://www.apple.com/mobileme/news/2009/04/live-chat-support-247.html) nothing happens - in fact the button is not clickable. Tried with Firefox first but doesn't work with Safari either.

Anyone got any ideas as to WTF is going on? Apple has really messed up with the roll out of their cloud computing effort.

Did you by chance read the instructions on that page?
...If you encounter an issue while using MobileMe ... simply go to MobileMe support. Click on the topics at the bottom left of the page to see if your question has already been answered. If it's not, click the Chat Now button to initiate a realtime help session with a MobileMe support agent.

The page you linked is a News page. Just as the Google map in the next post isn't active, the Chat Now image in the post you're referring to is just an image on a news page. Follow the Instructions. :)

Apple has really messed up with the roll out of their cloud computing effort.
Why? Because you can't read instructions? I've had MobileMe since day one and have been very pleased with it. Bugs? Sure. What software package doesn't have bugs? But the value is there and I've been impressed with the level of support from the Live Chat agents and MobileMe Engineering.

thx iwb

Thanks for putting me right on that. I have also had the service from day one as I love all things Apple, and that's partly because you don't have to wade through loads of instructions to use their stuff, although admittedly in this case the instructions didn't require much wading. My impatience got the better of me. Now I'll see if I can get the service to start syncing my work Mac again...

I went ahead and used the mobileme chat today as my calendars were not syncing.
We spent an hour on the chat and worked through several scenerios of why the sync wasn't working with my calendars. Finally got it resolved.
Very nice, very easy experience. Great service.
FYI.
