MobileMe account without credit card

Hi

I was about to sign up for a MobileMe trial account, which then I realised that a credit card information is needed to complete the process.

If I purchased and have a MobileMe code...

1) Am I able to set up a new account via a MobileMe code?
2) Do I need any credit card information to complete the process?

I've searched the forums, but so far the only questions asked were if they are able to set up a trial account without cc information.

To emphasise again, I'm asking if I can set up an account with a code without cc information.

I have MM and I'm pretty sure Apple has no credit card info for me on file. I usually buy MM subscriptions from Amazon or LA Computer, although I bought one here once.
No problems with any of them.
Deal with a legit and trusted business is my advice.
