These two things seem like they could be a perfect match for eachother. Besides getting photos from the MobileMe gallery, what other integration could you see between these two Apple products?

Here are a few of my ideas:
  • Email: It would be nice to be able to access email content and read messages on my big screen. I don't know how practical this is... but I still want to do it. :)
  • Calendar: Have a family meeting and discuss everyone's calendars on Sunday night before the next week begines. Again, I don't know how much people would use this... but why not?
  • QuickView: Wouldn't it be cool to be able to access files from your network or iDisk and view them on a big screen? Not edit them... just view them in a quick-view type format. I think so.

Might as well hook up a Mac Mini at this point? :)

Video conferencing

Now That would be a real goody.

Allow us to plug a USB Camera overhead of the big TV and allow videoconferencing between Apple TV's !!!! via the contact list of MobileME......

I would love that !!!

I love it if I could sync my Dashboard widgets (and layout?) from my computer (or multiple computers) then be able to access the dashboard of any computer I have sync'd to MobileMe on my LCD Tv. It'd be great for getting weather, RSS news, etc in the AM without having to use my computer.

Now that proper photo navigation using thumbnails and next/previous (without slideshow music and ken burns effect) have been implemented, my next top feature would definitely be to sync widgets from my Mac.

MobileMe wouldn't be necessary for this, but I'll follow the spirit of this thread and say that it would use it.

A Dashboard item on the main menu could call up such useful features as:

- Weather
- RSS Feeds
- Webclips
- Stocks
- iCal
- World time

These are widgets that would be useful to look at a glance without requiring complex editing functions. I'm sure that somewhere, the :apple:TV team has already thought of this and implemented it in concept.
