I just purchased MobileMe for my upcoming Mac, I haven't registered yet. Now, I know that when you have your own small little site, you get a website like http://www.something.me.com or something, not like your own domain name, but I am looking into GoDaddy right now. When it says up to 5 subdomains, that means I can only create 5 pages, like http://www.something.com/something 5 times? What exactly is a subdomain? Does that mean that I can only create 5 pages or 5 http://www.something.something.com? I am confused.
Edit: I may actually go with eNom now.

Hi,

A domain is, for example, "icascot.com" and a subdomain is "icascot.com/subdomain" or "subdomain.icascot.com". In no ways it means you only have 5 web page if you are allowed to 5 subdomains. Under a domain or subdomain, you can have as many pages you want.

I hope I managed to help you out. Let me know if you need more help.

I was reading an article on wikipedia about subdomains... <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subdomain>. In the article it said a subdomain is mail.example.com and the subdomain to the domain name is mail. Is http://www.example.com/mail still a subdomain? If that is still a subdomain, I'm guessing that means I am limited to 5 pages.
In the bottom of this article http://www.forbeginners.info/web-hosting/subdomains.htm in the organization section. It said that http://www.example.com/example subdomain, however http://www.example.example.com is a subdomain.
In GoDaddy's article they said this...
A subdomain is an easy way to create a memorable Web address for unique content areas of your site. For example, you could create a subdomain for pictures on your site called "pics" that is accessible through the URL pics.example.com in addition to http://www.example.com/pics.
When they said in addition to http://www.example.com/pics, does that mean that http://www.example.com/pics isn't a subdomain while pics.exampe.com is one?
Edit: Also what is an external domain?
Edit: I may go with eNom now. Is that a good domain registar? They are packed with features.

Thank you for your help!
