Just bought the family pack for MobileMe and downloaded the app on my iPhone 4. Very disappointed that the app does not allow for file uploads to the service. Even the DropBox app lets me upload files on my iPhone, granted you only get 2GB for free, but still.....it's free and you can do it!

Don't get why Apple doesn't allow iPhone file uploading to MobileMe. If they don't change this, then I probably won't renew it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I agree, it's pretty lame!
In the meantime, other apps can allow you to upload to your iDisk. I know GoodReader is one, but I think that's a paid app. There may be free ones too...

I just don't understand how a company like Apple could completely leave uploading from the iPhone 4, out of this app. If I take an important picture or video, I want it in my cloud storage now and not have to sync my iPhone later to do it.

Seriously? You guys don't know how this works by now? Choose any photo in your library, click the little button in the lower left corner, then choose "Send To MobileMe" in the pop up options.

Thanks for that info, but that doesn't work for video that you had to sync on the iPhone. This feature should be in the app itself.

It does based on what you asked regarding "If I take an important picture or video" and in that case, you do the same as you do with photos, choose your video that you shot, touch the button in the lower left corner and choose "Send To MobileMe". I don't understand what you don't get about it.

Of course you can't mean a video like a movie that you downloaded from somewhere else; of course Apple is not going to let you share movies you didn't shoot yourself, but anything in your camera roll like what you asked, an important photo or video that YOU took, you can of course send to MobileMe... it's built into iOS.

I just tried uploading some of my picture roll photos. It put them in the mobileme gallery. Now I can't access them with the iDisk app.

I can, you just have to browse through the folders.

If you uploaded the photos to your MobileMe Gallery, why not download the MobileMe Gallery app from the app store and you'll be able to see not only your photos but also any of your friends who have sharedpics with MobileMe.

Spacekitty, My picture folders are empty. But as I said MobileMe put my pictures in the Gallery part of MobileMe for some reason and not iDisk.

Limey77, I have the Gallery App also, but I wasn't trying to upload the pictures from my iPhone 4 to the MobileMe Gallery. I wasn't even give a choice. When I go to my camera roll and select a picture, then click to send one of the options is "Send to MobileMe". Then it just gets sent to the Gallery. I want to be able to send pictures from my iPhone 4 to iDisk in MobileMe.
