I'm sure (but could be wrong), before IOS4, if i sent an email from my iMac, it would automatically get 'pushed' and show in my iPhones sent folder.

It seems to have stopped-or did it never?

Thanks.

Bump.

No one else experiencing this?

One last bump....

Really, no-one else can re-create this problem?

Would someone who has an iPhone and Mobileme and a desktop be kind enough to send an email to themselves from their desktop/MobileMe online and see if it appears/gets pushed to sent folder of iPhone?

Pretty please?

Regards.

It does. Are you using different SMTP from your desktop mac? If you're using MobileMe to send your email it will be there across all devices you use for MobileMe email. Does the sent email appear if you use me.com to send it from the web app? If so, check the SMTP on your desktop mac.

When I delete MobileMe email on my iPhone I cannot find it in trash on my desktop or in the cloud. Crazy.

When I delete MobileMe email on my iPhone I cannot find it in trash on my desktop or in the cloud. Crazy.

With the new version of MM mail, deleting a message on the iPhone should send it to the archive folder (like Gmail) instead of moving it to the trash.

Mail sent from my desktop Mail Fails to appear on other devices

I am suddenly having the same issue; the curious thing is that it used to sync perfectly. Now, if I send a message from Mail on my desktop computer, that sent message fails to appear on any of my MobileMe devices (be it web interface, iPhone, etc). And the reverse happens as well: messages sent from web interface or mobile devices fail to appear as Sent mail on desktop Mail program. I should note, however, that all messages sent from mobile devices and web interface DO synchronize across those devices (again, just not with desktop Mail). Anybody have any ideas about this? Thanks.

Sent folder does not sync between webmail, iphone and Mac mail

I'm having the same problem although it's not consistent. Sometimes when I send mail from webmail (MobileMe), it does not show up in the sent folder of the Mac Mail program, but it does show up in the sent folder of the iphone. Today I noticed a mail I sent from the iphone does not show up in the sent folder on webmail.

Mobileme syncs email? Huh?

Thanks to all of you who are talking about syncing email with mobileme. I have been using mobileme since it came out, as a new mac user, but it has never sync's my emails. I have and iPhone4, iMac, MacBook, and none of the email syncs.

Everything else does a real good job of sycning, but no email. So am I to understand it is supposed to? I am constantly having to "mark as read" on the other machines when I have already read emails on one of them. I also never get sent emails propogating across the cloud. What I send on one, stays on it, and vice versa. I have everything else syncing fine.

What am I missing? Can you help me understand what I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help!

MobileMe does NOT sync email. But if all your devices are using IMAP they are all seeing the same server view so they should all look the same. There is no actual syncing of email between devices, it's just when something changes on the server all the devices see that change.

Desktop Mail to MobileMe–Sync Issue Resolved

OK. I finally resolved my issue in which mail sent from Mail on my desktop mac would not appear in the "sent" mailbox on any mobile device.

On my desktop Mail, I went to: preferences >accounts > mobileme > mailbox behaviors > sent (the paper airplane icon).

In this Sent section, I checked the box for "Store sent messages on the server (this was previously UN-checked).

This did the trick! I don't know how I missed this before (or how I ever un-checked the option in the first place).

Now messages, attachments, etc. sent from my desktop appear in the Sent box on all instances of MobileMe (iPad, iPhone, bowser-based mobileme mail).

And the reverse is true, as well: Messages, attachments, etc. sent from MobileMe (iPad, iPhone, bowser-based mobileme mail), show up on my desktop mail Sent box.
