MobileMe - hidden features?

I've read the page on Apple.com regarding MobileMe. I'm tempted, but not wholly sold on buying it.

Question: Are there some hidden, unadvertised features that make MobileMe more attractive?

For example, I've seen at least one, maybe two, small Mac software developers advertise that their software (DVD archiving/organizing) will sync between computers using MobileMe, which leads me to guess that MobileMe allows developers to easily add over-the-internet syncing capabilities to their software.

There are plenty of apps that support MM like MYOB or circus ponies notebook. You would need to look at the apps you like and see for yourself...
