MobileMe==>iCloud and iOS 5 - In what order?

I have my family all on MobileMe and devices that we will be updating to iOS 5. Whould should I do first, update to iOS 5, or transition from MobileMe to iCloud? Does is matter?

I tried to do the MobileMe -> iCloud transition. You need to have iOS 5 on all your devices, and the iCloud Control Panel (http://www.icloud.com/icloudcontrolpanel) on your desktop if you're on a PC. If you're on a Mac, you have to have the latest version of OS X.

You also need iTunes 10.5.

I downloaded iTunes 10.5 last night, it took a while but I finally got the iCloud control panel. Now I'm trying to get the devices up to iOS 5. Tried my daughter's iPod touch and I kept getting the 3200 error.

I hooked up my iPhone to at least get the software and update later. So far, it's getting further than the iPod did, so I may get it on there. Still have a 1st gen iPad to do too, and my wife's iPhone. Probably won't be able to do them all until tomorrow.
