Hi,

I signed up for MobileMe last November where I created a MobileMe Member Name (i.e., id). For example's sake, let's say that I named it "Joel"

Up until that point I had only an Apple ID which was of the form of an email address. For example's sake, let's say that my Apple ID was "Joel@yahoo.com"

Today, I decided to update my Apple ID to remove the email part of the ID (I did this at http://myinfo.apple.com). So I changed my Apple ID to just "Joel".

So now I have a MobileMe Id that is "Joel" and an Apple ID that is "Joel".

Does that cause any issues? I am assuming that them having the same ID is just a coincidence and they have no effect on each other?

Thanks.

Thanks. I haven't seen a problem yet either.

What got me a bit apprehensive was seeing articles like this:

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3222

I didn't quite understand what the article meant. I think it means even if your ID names are different, they are interchangeable.
