So I got a box copy with a new mac I bought for a discounted price so I thought I'd give the service a second try; I've noticed that after setting up the sync on my phone the unread mail badge does not update after reading my email on me.com or on my imac. Is there any way to fix this? I had been using gmail and between devices it was instantly updated when something was read anywhere. I tried contacting MobileMe support but they said I had to set my Fetch time to every 15 minutes which is still not instant and will apparently kill the battery quickly. Any ideas? I do want to give mm a shot again but I'm starting to lean back towards google sync again...

Do the mean the mail icon displays the 'Unread Mail' number by the icon?

If so mine does that too, it goes away eventually but to manually rid it you have to open the mail app, let it check for mail and it will then realize that mail has already been read, and will delete/move/mark as read, as appropriate.

Next time it pushes mail, it will update the icon. I think the phone doesn't want to unnecessarily go and check to see if the messages are read without user intervention.

Yes it is with the number of unread messages; I could deal with it I just don't like to have read my email on my computer and still see on my phone that I have new messages when in fact I don't.

This drives me absolutely crazy. I've had Exchange and Yahoo accounts on my phone and both of those update the number badge immediately upon the reading/deleting of a message on another device.

I truly wish Apple would "fix" this.
