So when mobileme is eliminated this summer, what happens to my iweb site? I can't figure out whether it will just be still visible online but frozen and I'll be unable to make changes, or whether it will just disappear from the internet.

I just set up my wife's kindergarten website with Dropbox. Took all of 10 minutes, and it's completely free. Of course, since Dropbox will shut down sites that exceed your bandwidth agreement, it's really only an alternative for low-traffic, noncommercial sites.
