Ever since they swapped me over to mobileMe, my passwords won't stay in my keychains. Either because of this or in addition to this I can no longer make web galleries in Aperture or iPhoto. I get sent to the mobile me preferences page instead, where I am asked to enter my password several times, while it keeps telling me there is a keychain error.

I can no longer publish my iWeb site to my .me pages.

Every time I open the Mail App I have to re-enter my passwords, even though I say save them to keychain...

I'm already getting sick of mobileMe and dreaming of .mac, where at least everything worked instead of almost nothing working.

They really should have worked out some of the bugs before launching this cursed switch over.

A same or very similar problem is happening to me now. Somehow my keychain (the one that had my long username as its name) is not working, so every time any app opens that referred to my keychain, I get an error " -2147415734".

The keychain doesn't show up in Keychain Access, nor can I import it. Thus, Keychain First Aid does nothing for me.

I created a new keychain, that I named using my short username. Still, apps and .Mac sync services keep asking me for my password, and telling me that there is a problem accessing my keychain (I don't even know which keychain, "login" or my eponymous keychain?). Searching the term "2147415734" turns up advice like the advice shown above.

Sadly, it's not working for me.

I can remember my passwords, and I can create a new keychain, if need be, but... how do I get OSX to agree to use the new keychain? How can I make it store passwords? How can I make it stop throwing this " -2147415734" error at me?

My Mac also throws up "Invalid .Mac Username or Password. Please verify your .Mac Member Name and Password in .Mac System Preferences." This happens every time I try to sync my iCal to mobileMe, even if I have just typed the password yet again into .Mac pref pane, and seen it accepted.

I'm having the same problem. I followed all the steps on the Apple support thread. I don't want to spend the next 4 hours on the phone with a rep who can't fix the problem.
