Hi there

Yesterday I sold my iphone 4. I just couldn't live with the antenna and the poor signal(I live in Denmark).

So I got a new one from Apple and decided to sell it and wait for the next iphone.

I need a temporary phone and found a nice price on a Samsung Galaxy 5.

But will I be able to sync my mobileme mail with that device?

If so, what is the mail settings?

Thanks...

Jakob

Set it up as IMAP

IMAP server: mail.me.com
SMTP server: smtp.me.com
imap port 993 using ssl
authentication is username and password.. username does not need @me.com at the end.

I hope this helps.

Solved.

The above is nearly correct, but there was a few problems that i have now solved.

  1. Add a new email account.
  2. Now here are the settings for incoming...
  3. Email Address: john.smith123@me.com
  4. Password: 'password'
  5. Send email from this account by default: (Unticked)
  6. Show password: (Unticked)
  7. Now press manual set up...
  8. Select iMap account
  9. Username: john.smith123 (Do not add '@me.com')
  10. Password: 'password'
  11. iMap Server: imap.me.com
  12. Security type: SSL
  13. Port: (Dont change- should say '993')
  14. iMap Prefix: (Do not change)
  15. Now Press 'Next'
  16. Now set up outgoing..
  17. SMTP Server: smtp.me.com
  18. Security Type: None
  19. Port: 587
  20. Require Sign In: (Ticked)
  21. Username: john.smith123 (Dont add @me.com)
  22. Password: 'password'

Done that should solve the problem.

Peace, Be Good
